About Bees
A honey bee colony runs on division of labor: one queen laying eggs, thousands of female workers foraging and building comb, and male drones whose job is mating. Workers make wax from glands on their abdomens and shape it into six-sided cells, then tell each other where flowers are with the waggle dance, a figure-eight run whose angle points toward the food. This card gathers the colony, the beekeeper's smoker and veil, and blossoms from clover to apple.
Reach for this during a pollinator unit, a spring garden lesson, or a visit from a local beekeeper.
