Puzzle makers
Build a puzzle from your own words
Six makers, all free and all working the same way: your words go in, a printable sheet comes out with its answer key. Nothing is sent to a server, so what you type stays on your machine.
- Crossword maker takes words and clues It interlocks your entries, numbers the clues across and down, and tells you if a word could not be placed rather than dropping it quietly.
- Word search maker takes a word list Easy runs across and down, hard adds backwards in every direction. Large print is a toggle rather than a separate download.
- Bingo card generator takes a word list Any number of cards, no two alike. The call list only contains terms that actually appear on a card, so you never call one nobody can find.
- Sudoku generator takes a difficulty Every grid is checked for a single solution before you see it, so it never needs a guess. Around 40 givens on easy, 26 on hard.
- Cryptogram maker takes a sentence Every letter swapped for another one, consistently. Choose how many letters to give away as hints, or none at all.
- Maze generator takes a size Exactly one route runs from start to finish, so there is always an answer and never a shortcut. The solution prints on its own sheet.
What every maker does
Each one prints a clean worksheet and a separate answer key, and each has a large print setting that raises the cell and font size together rather than shipping a different file. The same puzzle comes back for the same words and title, so you can reprint an identical sheet next term instead of keeping the file.
The generator runs in your browser, not on a server. That is why there is no sign-up and no queue, and why the word list you paste in is never transmitted anywhere.
