About Shapes
Shapes come in two families on this card: flat ones you can draw, like the hexagon and the trapezoid, and solid ones you can hold, like the cube, the cone, and the cylinder. A stop sign is an octagon. A rhombus is a square pushed sideways, four equal sides with slanted corners. Calling out spiral, arch, and zigzag adds the lines and curves that build every shape here.
Reach for this in an early elementary geometry lesson or a preschool circle time when children are learning shape names out loud.
