About Ocean
Ocean water covers most of Earth's surface, and its motion never stops: tides rise and fall with the pull of the moon, while currents carry warm and cold water between continents. Much of the life hidden in the search grid depends on plankton, the drifting organisms at the base of nearly every marine food chain. Other entries belong to people rather than animals, including the anchor, the harbor and the lighthouse that guides ships past rocks and shallow reefs.
Reach for this during a unit on marine habitats, tides, or coastal geography, or before a class trip to an aquarium or shoreline.
