About Camping

Camping runs on a short list of things you can carry. A tent and a sleeping bag handle shelter and warmth, a compass and a map work without batteries or signal, and a canteen keeps water within reach on the trail. Campfires do double duty: a cast iron skillet sets right in the coals, and marshmallows toast on a stick. After sunset a lantern or flashlight lights the campsite, and away from city glare the stars come out in numbers.
