About History

History leaves evidence behind, and this puzzle follows that trail. Clues run from ancient Egypt, where a pharaoh ruled at the head of a dynasty, to Rome's Colosseum, to the Magna Carta that English barons pressed on King John in 1215. Later entries reach the age of castles and knights, the voyages of Columbus, the Pilgrims, revolution, the Liberty Bell, and the long campaign for suffrage. Museums and archives keep the artifacts and treaties that let anyone check the record.
