About Math

Mathematics runs on precise words. A quotient is what division leaves you, a denominator names how many equal parts make a whole, and a prime number refuses to divide evenly by anything but one and itself. The hypotenuse always sits opposite the right angle, the longest side of the triangle, and a protractor measures the angles you cannot eyeball. This crossword asks you to match those definitions to their terms, from perimeter and volume to the curve of a parabola.

Reach for this when a class or a student needs vocabulary review before a unit test, or when the terms have started blurring together partway through the year.
