About Fourth of July
The Fourth of July marks the day in 1776 when the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence, and Americans have celebrated it with noise and open air ever since. John Adams imagined bonfires and illuminations; the modern version leans on fireworks, marching bands, and long tables of food. This card gathers what a holiday afternoon actually holds: the bunting and lawn chairs, the grill smoke and watermelon, the fire truck rolling slowly at the head of a parade.
Reach for this at a backyard cookout or a park picnic while the grill heats up and everyone waits for dark.
