About New Year
The New Year's Eve ball in Times Square has descended since 1907, and "Auld Lang Syne" is a Scots poem set to an older folk tune, sung long before anyone thought to broadcast it. Around the world the turning of the calendar brings its own foods: black-eyed peas in the American South, dumplings shaped like old coins in parts of China. This card gathers the countdown, the confetti, the parade floats and the fresh planner waiting for January's first entry.
Reach for this on December 31 when a group of any age needs something to do between dinner and midnight.
