About Camping
Camping strips shelter down to fabric and poles, and that changes what matters: dry wood, a level patch of ground, water you carried in yourself. A campfire needs tinder before kindling before logs, in that order. Park rangers manage the trails and the rules about fires, which shift with the season and the weather. Once the lantern goes out, the sky over a dark campsite shows stars that city lights hide all year.
Reach for this before a scout meeting, a family trip, or a classroom unit on the outdoors.
