About States
The fifty states differ wildly in shape, size and age. Alaska is the largest by area and Hawaii the only one made entirely of islands, while Texas spent nearly a decade as an independent republic before joining in 1845. Ohio, Michigan and Vermont sit in the cooler north; Arizona and Nevada hold desert. Colorado and Utah share a corner with two neighbors at the Four Corners. This crossword asks you to place sixteen of them by their clues.
Reach for this during a geography unit on the United States, or when a class needs a quiet review before a map quiz.
