About Math
Mathematics runs on a small set of ideas that keep reappearing in new clothing. A fraction, a decimal and a percent all describe the same quantity three ways, which is why one third can be written as 33.3 percent without changing anything. A radius sets the size of every circle, and geometry links it to the triangles and squares beside it. Tools matter too: a protractor measures angles in degrees, a ruler measures length, and both turn a rough sketch into something exact.
Reach for this sheet when a math class needs a warm-up that reviews vocabulary before a unit on geometry, fractions or graphing.
