About Reptiles
Reptiles are vertebrates with scaly skin, and nearly all of them lay eggs on land rather than in water. The group covers turtles and tortoises with their bony shells, crocodiles and alligators, snakes such as the python and the anaconda, and lizards from the tiny gecko to the large monitor. Many rely on outside heat, basking in sun and retreating to shade to control body temperature. This grid hides eighteen of them, along with the scales they share.
Reach for this sheet during a life science unit on reptiles, or after a zoo or nature center visit when the names are still fresh.
