About Sea Creatures
The ocean holds animals built on plans that look almost invented. An octopus has three hearts and blue blood, and can squeeze through any gap wider than its beak. A seahorse is a fish, and the male carries the eggs in a pouch until they hatch. Coral looks like stone but is a colony of tiny animals related to jellyfish. Sea turtles, whales, walruses, dolphins, and penguins all breathe air, returning to the surface between dives.
Reach for this sheet during an ocean or marine biology unit, or before an aquarium visit.
