About Cats
Cats sleep much of the day, hunt at dawn and dusk, and communicate with people in ways they rarely use with each other: adult cats meow mostly at humans. Whiskers act as sensitive touch receptors, mapping gaps and air currents in the dark. Grooming keeps fur clean and helps regulate body temperature. Breeds like the Maine Coon and Siamese differ in build and voice, while tabby and calico describe coat patterns rather than breeds, calico being tied to genetics that make nearly all such cats female.
Reach for this when a classroom or family game night wants something built around animals everyone already knows well.
