About Pets

Pets ask for different things depending on what they are. A goldfish needs an aquarium with filtered, dechlorinated water; a rabbit needs a hutch with room to stretch out; an iguana needs heat and light it would have gotten from the sun. Dogs and cats get a collar, and many also get a microchip, a rice-grain implant a shelter can scan to reunite a lost animal with its family. Grooming, kibble, and a walk on a leash fill the rest of the day.

Reach for this at home or in a classroom when a child is learning what caring for an animal actually involves.
