About Rain

Rain begins as water vapor cooling into droplets around specks of dust inside a cloud, and it falls in a shape closer to a tiny hamburger bun than the pointed teardrop people draw. A monsoon is not a storm at all but a seasonal shift in wind direction that carries months of wet weather with it. Thunder is the sound of air heated so fast by lightning that it slams outward, which is why the flash always reaches you first.
